Dart for a Dollar

 

The prototype Dart (Hull #1) is being offered up for auction.

This boat was launched winter 2009 and sailed locally from Anacortes Washington. Its life was mostly beercan racing as a Demo boat for Left Coast.


Being a prototype, there are a few differences from a production Dart. Notably there are no navigation lights. There is no wiring in the deck. The floor is marine plywood as opposed to Cherry & Maple composite. The ice chest lid is also simple composite as opposed to Cherry & Maple composite. The pulpit is a different style. Also, this boat was rigged for a symmetrical spinnaker as opposed to the mini sprits on the later models. A mini sprit could be installed, it just never was.

100% Infused vinyl-ester.

No balsa core.

No structural wood whatsoever.

Sails fast right out of the box.

Sleeps 4 in total fluffy comfort.

Brand new epoxy bottom sprayed on by Jim Betts last week.


This can be left as it is and dry sailed or add bottom paint for wet storage. Its up to you.

Interior Touch lights all work as does the Left Coast Simple Stereo. With Polk audio speakers.


For those that don’t know. You can run all the lights and the stereo for less than an Amp.
